Welcome
  • Welcome to my little piece of Academia on the Internet for Christian educators! Christian Education is very important to me and my wife, who has taught for the past 17 years.
  • I hope to expand this site to provide YOU the help that you will need to begin or continue to take the rightful responsibility to see that your child(ren) are given the best education they can receive. Your ideas are appreciated! Click here to e-mail me.
  • I have purposed to keep this site as Christian, traditional and as conservative as possible, while realizing that there are still some good solid academic resources out there also.
  • In 1975, along with a large number of Christians in the Greater Brattleboro Area, I helped to found Christian Heritage School, Inc. in Brattleboro.
  • It was evident at that time that the public and some parochial schools were not meeting the standards academically or ethically. That trend has worsened today!
  • I served on the Board of Directors faithfully for the following 20 years, Head mastered, taught occasionally and Coached for 12 years. I left the Board in 1996 and returned from 1999 until 2002.
  • During that period I served on a number of educational committees and boards, attended conferences each year and served on the Christian Schools of Vermont, Inc. Board.
  • If you are considering Home Schooling or sending your child(ren) to a Christian School please - I challenge you to do it for the right reasons. Do NOT play School!
  • First, Christian Education is a conviction of the Lord that your child(ren) must be taught in a Christian manner and environment. Be prepared to back that up!
  • Your child(ren) belong to the Lord first, then, secondly, to you and you are entrusted by Him to care for and be responsible for them. (Psalm 127:3)
  • The Lord also entrusted you first to provide for their education. That's where Christian Education comes in!
  • Next, you may choose to Home School, send them to a Christian Day School, or a Boarding School. If you do not Home School, you need to find a Christian School that you can be assured that what you have instilled or want instilled in your child(ren) will not be undone.
  • While you will not have a problem with a vast majority of Christian Schools, there are those who are Christian in name only. They may have had a good start at their inception, but lost it as they watered down and sorely compromised their foundation.
  • Look closely at their Constitution. Look at their Philosophy of Christian Education, Statement of Purpose, Statement of Faith, and By-Laws. Unfortunately, there are schools who are NOT following what they present themselves as believing in.  Lack of the aforementioned can be a good indicator of what they really stand for.
  • EITHER WAY, it is still YOU who is responsible for the education they do or do not receive! The same applies if you play school while home schooling.
  • Christian Education is not an alternative education.
  • Nor, is it to be looked at as a reform school were you send your child(ren) when you have lost control of them.
